ADMISSION INTO OPEN AND DISTANCE LEARNING (ODL) DEGREE PROGRAMMES FOR THE 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION

Applications are hereby invited from qualified candidates into the ODL Bachelor’s Degree Programmes in the Open and Distance Learning Centre of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso for the 2024/2025 Academic Session.

IMPORTANT NOTICE ON ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Candidates who participated in the 2024/2025 UTME examination and scored 180 and above may also be considered for admission irrespective of their choice of institution.

COMPUTER PROFICIENCY TRAINING

Computer proficiency training and test will be conducted for all applicants.

METHOD OF APPLICATION:

a. Application forms are available on-line on payment of Application and Computer Training fee of ₦15,000.00 only.
b. Candidates are expected to register on the Centre’s website; lodlc.lautech.edu.ng by completing and submitting the on-line application form.
c. In completing the on-line application form, candidates are required to upload a scanned passport photograph with white background showing ears, no cap and no glasses. The scanned passport photograph must be in JPEG format (i.e. jpg) and must not be more than 20kb. On submission of the application form, candidates are to print out Referee Form.

Admission Requirements for B.Sc. Accounting

Applicants must possess at least five (5)’O’ level passes at credit level to include English Language, Mathematics, Economics, and any two (2) subjects in either Sciences, Social Sciences, or the Arts. In addition to this, the applicant shall meet the necessary UME cut off point.

Admission Requirements for B.Sc. Agricultural Economics

Applicants must possess at least five (5)’O’ level passes at credit level WAEC/ NECO/ NABTEB/ GCE in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural Science or Biology. However, Economics or Geography may be accepted in lieu of Physics provided such candidates scores at least a Pass in Physics.

Admission Requirements for B.Sc. Agricultural Extension and Rural Development

Applicants must possess at least five (5)’O’ level passes at credit level to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Agricultural Science.

Admission Requirements for B.Sc. Computer Science

Applicants must possess at least five(5)’O’ level subjects passed at credit level in English Language, Mathematics, Physics and any other two subject from Chemistry / Biology / Agricultural Science, Economics / Geography.

Admission Requirements for B.Sc. Marketing

Applicants must possess at least five (5)’O’ level passes at credit level to include Mathematic, English Language, Economics, and any two (2) from Marketing, Business Administration, Geography, Commerce, Government, Financial Accounting.

Admission Requirements for BN.Sc. Nursing Science

Applicants must possess at least five (5) ‘O’ level passes of credit level to include English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

Admission Requirements for B.Sc. Accounting and B.Sc. Marketing

  • Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from recognised polytechnics with a minimum of Lower Credit in Accounting/Marketing with relevant professional qualification may be considered.
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognised polytechnic with a pass in Accounting/Marketing or other related disciplines may also be considered.
  • Good credit passes in “A” Level certificate in relevant subjects may also be considered.

Admission Requirements for B.Sc. Computer Science

  • Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from a recognised polytechnic with Minimum of Upper Credit in Computer Science Engineering/Technology or any other relevant disciplines may also be considered.
  • Ordinary National Diploma (OND) from recognised polytechnics with a minimum of Lower credit in Computer Science or Computer Engineering / Technology with relevant professional qualifications may be considered.
  • Higher National Diploma (HND) from recognised polytechnics with Pass in Computer Science or Computer Engineering/Technology or other relevant disciplines may also be considered.

  • Higher National Diploma (HND) from recognized Polytechnics with a Minimum of Lower Credit in Computer Science or Computer Engineering/Technology or any other relevant disciplines may also be considered.
  • Third Class degree in Computer Science.
  • Candidates in every category above must obtain Five (5) Credit passes at not more than two sittings in WAEC, NABTEB and or NECO.
