On behalf of the Vice-Chancellor, the Governing Board members, and the staff of the LAUTECH Open and Distance Learning Centre in Ogbomoso, Nigeria, I extend a warm welcome to you. The Centre is authorized by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the National Universities Commission (NUC) to offer the following programs: B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Sc. Accounting, B.Sc. Marketing, BN.Sc. Nursing Science, B.Sc. Agricultural Economics, and B.Sc. Agricultural Extension and Rural Development.
As a pioneer in leveraging technology to advance 21st-century learning, the Centre prioritizes flexible learning, continuously enhancing program delivery to align with our motto: Learn Anywhere, Learn Anytime. Our dedicated team of seasoned professors, administrators, e-tutors, and learner support staff ensures a robust learning experience through our innovative Learning Management System (LMS). This is further complemented by up to two weeks of face-to-face facilitation and examinations using a blended learning model. Learners also receive printed course materials and interactive DVDs containing multimedia versions of all course content.
We offer comprehensive support across three key areas: prospective learners, current learners, and alumni. Since its inception in 2015, the Centre has achieved significant milestones, including a steadily growing learner population and the successful graduation of eight cohorts. Many graduates have excelled, earning distinctions, thanks to our streamlined academic calendar and the unwavering commitment of all stakeholders.
